Company strategy
The company strategy for 2027 is to build up the core foundations for each of the game projects alongside the first set of content packs. This is to lay the foundation for 2028 where development of the game projects will dramatically increase in size and scope

Ringtail Games is a wholly owned subsidiary of Monash Enterprise, operating inside the Faculty of IT Industry Practice Program.
Ringtail Games aims to create games with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility in a way that provides students opportunity to demonstrate leadership in game design across the industry

How the company is organised
The company starts at 60 students and scales to 150. Each department shows its initial and target headcount.
Indie Publishing

An internally developed custom game engine, designed for next generation games and a focus on accessibility features for developers

A game that is focussed on the completion of a rapid series of microgames leading into a final boss round.

Historical RTS
A realtime strategy game set across multiple time periods where the player controls a variety of historical civilisations.

Campus MMO
MMO game built up across the years as a Persona styled game with Monash used as the fictional school setting in the game and built around the experiences of students and the culture on-campus.

Live service puzzle game with continued narrative and level updates across multiple years

Indie Games
Students may form groups of 3-8 in their final two semesters to pitch and deliver on small indie titles that can be published by the company. IP rights for any of these titles remain with the student groups not with the company.

Rapid Prototyping R&D
Rapid prototyping for proof of concept ideas utilising new technologies and experimental games. i.e. developing games for Apple Vision Pro, Steam Frame, etc.
