Sustainable Urban Ecosystems
About our project
SolAdapt is a mobile-friendly web application designed to help older adults aged 65–74 stay safer during hot and high-UV conditions in Melbourne. It provides heat and UV information, helps users plan outdoor activities at safer times, and identifies nearby cooling options such as shaded areas and drinking fountains. SolAdapt also supports safer travel by suggesting suitable routes and connecting users to navigation. By bringing environmental risk information and practical planning tools together, SolAdapt helps older adults make more informed decisions before and during outdoor activities.
