WorkReady
TE21
Improving Workforce Safety
About our project
WorkReady is an iOS workforce safety application for construction workers. It uses AI-powered image recognition to check six essential PPE items before roof-framing work. Workers can complete pre-start checks, record attendance, report emergencies, request manual reviews, scan equipment QR codes, and report damaged tools. Managers can monitor PPE compliance, attendance, emergency alerts, equipment conditions, and safety issues. A Flask backend connects the application to PostgreSQL, while privacy-focused design avoids storing raw device identifiers or PPE photographs. The project aims to identify hazards earlier, improve communication, and prevent workplace injuries.
