About our project

Women remain underrepresented in Australia’s technology workforce, accounting for 32% of technology workers in 2025, with career breaks creating major re-entry barriers as tools and AI rapidly evolve. CareerTimeMachine is a website designed to help women maintain their skills and confidence during their leave. The platform identifies in-demand industry skills and provides personalised, self-paced lessons paired with realistic workplace scenarios. Rather than starting from the beginning, CareerTimeMachine helps returning professionals recognise the value of their existing experience, adapt to industry changes, and take their next step back into the workforce.
