ResidueLens
TA12
Avoiding Harmful Substances
About our project
ResidueLens is a consumer decision-support application designed to help Australian parents and caregivers make informed choices about fresh produce. It brings together published pesticide-residue monitoring and research evidence and translates complex information into clear, produce-specific guidance, helping users understand what testing has found, compare organic and conventional produce where evidence is available, and identify practical preparation methods such as washing, peeling or other evidence-supported approaches. By presenting trustworthy information in an easy-to-understand format, ResidueLens aims to reduce consumer uncertainty when shopping and help them make their own informed decisions without using fear-based messaging or making personal safety claims.
