About our project
Meridian is a smart energy application designed to help Victorian households shift flexible electricity use into renewable rich periods. Users enter an appliance task, its duration and completion deadline, and Meridian recommends the most suitable time to run it using renewable energy and weather data. Instruction Mode provides clear guidance for users who prefer to act manually, while Automation Mode schedules compatible smart appliances through integration with Google and Apple ecosystems, with confirmation, status visibility, cancellation and override controls. This helps households reduce energy costs and emissions without sacrificing convenience or control.
