TurtleHub
TA10
Rediscover Biodiversity & "Lost" Species
About our project
Turtle Hub is an integrated spatial platform designed to address the 91% decline of Australian freshwater turtles by turning fragmented data into targeted field action. By consolidating data from national databases, including the Atlas of Living Australia and Digital Earth Australia, into an interactive dashboard, the platform reduces operational silos. Turtle Hub dynamically layers live threat metrics, such as fox predation density and active fire hotspots, alongside an automated risk engine. By pairing site-specific threat levels with terrain-matched, evidence-based protection strategies, Turtle Hub equips conservation coordinators, councils, and volunteers to deploy fast, targeted field interventions where they matter most.
