About our project
Every year, thousands of Australian students graduate without realising the range of careers their degree could lead to, while the labour market keeps shifting beneath them. HireWay is a web platform that turns a student’s education and current skills into personalised career directions. Built entirely on Australian Government open data — Jobs and Skills Australia projections, ABS occupation classifications and CRICOS courses — it recommends occupations with explainable match scores, shows each role’s projected growth, median earnings and state-by-state hiring demand, and breaks down the skills needed to get there, so every suggestion comes with the evidence behind it.
