About our project
Curbi is a website designed to help people with health anxiety resist the urge to compulsively check their symptoms online. When users feel that urge, Curbi offers a short guided pause and redirects them to a calming alternative task, tracked with a timer. It also helps users find nearby Victorian mental health services by suburb or postcode, and offers ambient background music plus a collectible companion system that rewards completed tasks — encouraging healthier coping habits, with no login required and no medical diagnosis or judgment made by the app.
All this content was created by Monash University students as part of their final year study and assessment. If any material appears online that you believe is unauthorised, please contact the Chief Examiner of IE units
