About our project

MelbTwin is a web-based journey planning platform designed to support people travelling in Melbourne at night. Unlike traditional navigation tools that mainly focus on the fastest route, MelbTwin uses available night-time information, such as street lighting and pedestrian activity, to help users compare route options. Users can personalise their journey preferences and understand how conditions may change at different departure times. By presenting route trade-offs and available evidence clearly, MelbTwin helps users make more informed journey decisions based on their own preferences.
