About our project
Over Roast is a bushfire preparedness and recovery navigator designed to support communities in regional Victoria. The platform brings together trusted information from official sources, including bushfire-prone area data, fire history, population data, road disruptions and incident feeds. Users can access personalised preparation checklists, save essential household needs and recovery information, and view relevant regional evidence. The system is designed to remain useful during disrupted connectivity while avoiding unsafe emergency recommendations. Its goal is to make bushfire information easier to understand, support better preparation, and help users connect with verified services during recovery.
