About our project
MyPowerPlant is a web platform designed to help Victorian solar-battery owners make informed decisions about Virtual Power Plant participation. It addresses uncertainty by providing clear VPP education, personalised household energy estimates and plan suggestions based on battery compatibility and location. Users can compare provider terms, including battery reserve requirements, discharge limits and opt-out conditions, while viewing the reasoning and trade-offs behind each suggestion. The platform also provides forecast-based reminders for potential discharge and opt-out periods. MyPowerPlant promotes transparency, consumer confidence and greater participation in Victoria’s renewable-energy transition.
