About our project

NeighbourlyMinds is a unified, independent environmental cognitive accessibility companion designed specifically for older Victorians experiencing early-stage progressive memory changes. Shifting focus away from clinical stigma, the platform empowers users by framing navigation barriers as environmental issues, such as poor lighting and low contrast.
Key features include a normalization dashboard using demographic data, interactive 2D room adaptation guides, a computer-vision indoor hazard auditor, a daytime sensory outing scheduler, and straight-path landmark routing. By helping users confidently adapt their homes and plan low-stimulation trips with printable pocket cards, NeighbourlyMinds preserves independent living and reduces wayfinding anxiety.
