Road safety for young people
About our project
RoadBuddy is a web app for young Victorian drivers on P1 licences, who appear in 27% of Victorian crashes, 28% of them after dark. Existing tools rate the road; RoadBuddy rates the trip. Drivers enter a route and departure time and get a concern level built from Victoria’s official crash records, weather and daylight, then see whether leaving later is safer. Short lessons teach the skill the flagged conditions call for, and Ask answers driving questions from the Victorian road-rules handbook. Every figure names its source, and all interaction happens before or after driving, never behind the wheel.
