About our project
Greenchanger is a web-based urban greening simulation tool for Melbourne residents. It uses local heat, vegetation and tree-canopy data to show existing environmental conditions around a selected location. Residents can explore greening actions, compare supported tree species and indicative costs, and visualise potential changes in canopy, shade and space requirements before making a decision. The platform also presents clear data sources, assumptions and limitations, supporting informed discussions between residents and local councils.
