Helping Hand
TP46
Shielding Crisis & Community Resilience
About our project
Helping Hand is a website that helps people find and compare food support services. Users can search for nearby locations, view them on a map, and check addresses and the types of support each provider offers. The project also aims to make food availability information easier to maintain. In Iteration 2, users will be able to take or upload a photo of food. AI will suggest broad food categories and approximate quantities, but users must review and confirm the results before the inventory is updated. This helps people make more informed choices before travelling to a service.
