Road safety for young people

About our project

Drivexa is a pre-drive road-risk awareness website designed for young Melbourne drivers. It analyses a planned journey at road-segment level using open road-safety data, including crash history, speed environments, road design, lighting and disruptions. The website highlights where a journey may require more attention and explains the main factors contributing to changing risk. Drivexa provides transparent, explainable relative-risk awareness rather than crash prediction, helping less experienced drivers better understand the road ahead before starting their journey.
