About our project and product

The Language Desk is a Melbourne-based freelance provider offering written translation and live interpretation services across legal, medical, and corporate contexts. Jobs are received from both direct clients from the pre-existing business website and agencies who serve as middlemen for a wider clientele. The Language Desk operated through a multiplicity of applications (in the form of spreadsheets, emails and inquiries on the website), increasing administrative overhead. In order to reduce administrative burden we built a simple, reliable, calendar-centric platform to manage incoming jobs and schedules more efficiently with a mobile-first, calendar-based system to help manage agency job offers, and maintain a clean, streamlined workflow to gain more control and reduce stress.
